Ok so the fundraising dates we selected yesterday at the drawing:
Jan. 19-20 (Fri-Sat): Ticket taking at the GBB vs Bethel and BBB vs Bethel
Feb. 2-3 (Fri-Sat): Concessions at GBB vs West and BBB vs TMHS
The second one is really exciting because it'll probably get us a lot of money for next year!

So today is basically just a quiet work day in groups. We have to be quiet because Mr.Smith is doing some recording, which is actually making us more productive in my opinion. So Toby and Joel are mostly working on the arm. Toby is making some sketches while Joel is building a rough draft so we can see if the general idea will work. A problem I notice is balance. There's no way the worm screw can balance the entire weight of the arm so we definitely have to build some sort of platform and likely a counterbalance (maybe that).

So on the fundraising front we have get things started soon. After calling a few places that make shirts we decided last week to get them from Alaskan Outdoor Wearhouse & Embroidery. The shirts from there will be able to have any amount of colors (so we'd be able to keep logos the same) because we're only getting about 10. The quote was $25 for each shirt and a $40 one time charge for organization unless we do organize it ourselves. Assuming we pay the $40 it'll cost $290 for 10 shirts, plus no shipping because it's a Juneau company (we think).

Mr. Smith won't be here Monday and Thursday is a day off. So ASAP we should get a list of engineers from Mr. Smith and do the actual work getting to them on Thursday. I should try to plan that out.

So we also just tested the gear system Joel built. It works! So now we want to use it for the arm. Joel is going to take it apart and and fix the format so we can use that direct thing in the arm.

For gear to gear ratio for the shoulder of the arm, we want a small gear, and a meduim gear respectifvly.
